We are building a new model of community life where spiritual conversation and service to others go hand-in-hand.

Central Aim: To Unify Humanity as One Family

All of the teachings of the Bahá’í Faith revolve around one central principle: that all people were created as part of one human family. Our ultimate aim is to build a just, peaceful, and unified society from the grassroots up, that celebrates diversity and nurtures the well-being of all.

In neighborhoods across Walnut Creek and Contra Costa County, Bahá’ís and their friends are progressing toward these goals by engaging in community-building activities that foster inner transformation and create wider circles of inclusion.

Building Community in Walnut Creek

This photo is taken from a children’s virtues class in the Bancroft neighborhood of Walnut Creek. From here to Rossmoor, Bahá’ís of all ages are learning and striving to reshape society around principles of love, inclusivity and reciprocity. We invite you to take a look at our approach. Together, through geunine friendships, spiritual education, and acts of community service, we can cultivate a sense of collective ownership for the spiritual, social and economic well-being of our community.

“So powerful is the light of unity that it can illuminate the whole earth”
